Yesterday was Friday and the evening was spent at Nicole's celebrating Erin's and my birthday. It was truly a blast. Oh! And here's a funny story: I texted Nicole 2 hours before the party to see if we were exchanging gifts, because i totally forgot about that. When she said yes, I left to go to Jordan Landing, possibly to Barnes and Noble to get a gift for Erin. But then I decided instead to go to Target. After shopping for a bit, I was ready to leave when I see... Ashly and Nicole in the store! They were shopping for my birthday gift as well!! What a coincidence!! And so, I left to get ready. I texted Nicole, joking with her, telling her that I hoped we didn't both get Erin the same gift as well, since out of all the stores, she chose to come to the Target right by my house. She texted me back, asking me if I'd got her a fluffy lion and what do you know??? I did! But this was no cause for panic because I bought a cute monkey as well, intending to save it for a gift for someone the next time, so I just swapped it - crisis averted.
So we get to her house and Erin's unwrapping her presents and turns out the book I got her was the exact same one that Nicole got her! WHAT??? How??? Out of all the books.... I'm pretty sure that the likelihood of an event like this happening is equivalent to winning the lottery. LOL... Anywhos, I had a great time that night. :) Safe to say, my 18th birthday has been the best one thus far.
On a different note, I have been thinking a lot about my ideal life and what my ideal weekend would be like, since besides typing this, I am quite... bored. I cannot seem to get Chuck out of my mind, maybe because it is a sappy love story that is everything that I love about a love story. But this brings me back to thinking. I've spent almost 91 hours on this TV show, and I'd rather not spend more. However, I think there are times that warrant me watching it, to bring back the nostalgia and to remind me that even the best of things come to an end. And speaking of the best of things, luck to a certain extent plays a great factor in this equation.
So here's what my ideal weekend would be like:
Friday: After homework & school, relax until the wee hours of the morning.
Saturday: Morning - have some time to read, relax, great breakfast, maybe go exploring
Afternoon - meet with friends
Night - chat with my friends from back home
Sunday: Morning - Church
Afternoon - scripture study/spiritual
Night - chat & prepare for the week
Perhaps if I had some hobbies, they would fit in there as well. For now, I can't seem to find one that suits my time. With that said,
I am so ready to dive in.
Senior year, please be kind to me.
